When Headshots Matter

Image
This holistic health team at Elemental Health had a great website. Every page was informative, professional and in its entirety the website was aesthetically pleasing. The only glitch was the page featuring the team of practitioners.  It lacked uniformity and professionalism. The photos were dark, badly lit giving them an unfriendly feel.  Before... After... It is really important that when you are looking for someone with whom you will trust you specialist care, that they look competent yet approachable and friendly. When you have a team of people, it is a good idea to choose a backdrop colour that will be suitable for majority of skin types and hair colour as well as work well with the colours on your website so we chose the light grey. You cannot go wrong with grey. It is complimentary for every colour and every skintone. The team have received countless comments so far and plenty of phone calls. Will update the post with more accurate sta

Keywords The Key To Top Rated Google Searches - Top Lawyer LinkedIn Profile Photo Session

Image
The Red background stands out as a LinkedIn Profile Photo This nice clean image will feature on the front page of the website. The smart and lovely Family Lawyer Anjli, was my subject for this session. Anjli needed some headshots for her LinkedIn profile as well as her website for her firm, Western Sydney Legal Practice. As we needed images for a variety of purposes, we shot on different coloured backgrounds and changed outfits a few times.  Anjli ended up using the red for the LinkedIn which I just love. Scrolling down all of the LinkedIn profiles, she definitely makes an impression! As search engines are unable to read images, it is important to load them with keywords and alt tags so that you can be found. It also increases ratings in  Google searches. So we loaded Anjli's images for her LinkedIn and Website with relevant keywords including services they provide and location information. This is a service that we provide at no extra charge, so just come to

Business Portrait Session - LinkedIn Profile

Image
Simon needed a variety of images for business purposes including his LinkedIn profile, some articles he is writing, public relations, press releases and use on a website. So in order to provide him with a range of images, we shot both casual and more formal images. We used a couple of different backgrounds, lighting setups and changes of outfit. I think we did ok!  See for yourself on Simon's LinkedIn profile.

Your Profile Photo Is The Most Important Thing On LinkedIn

Image
You know yourself when looking over someone's profile on LinkedIn, the first thing you do is check out their photo.  I personally get messages and requests daily. If there isn't a photo, I delete it immediately. If it is a bad photo, I think about it a second, then delete it. If it is a nice professional photo showing a confident business person, I definitely check out their profile and most likely add them as a contact. Don't just take my word for it.  The Ladders research into recruiter behaviour proves it. As shown in the heat map below, whilst looking over profiles, the first place the recruiter looked was the photo and they spent 19% of their total time looking at it. That's a lot of heat! Business Insider has some great tips on the do's and don'ts for you profile photo. And as it isn't that expensive, I would say it is an easy investment. My basic headshot sessions are only $175 and this image should last you a good couple of year

LinkedIn Business Profile Portrait - The Perfect Shoot

Image
Graham from Blue Chip Wealth Management   was after a revamp of all of his electronic presence - LinkedIn, Facebook, Emails, Newsletters and Website. Armed with a variety of ties and jackets along with his well practiced facial expressions and body positions we got straight into it. Within the hour we had for this mini session, we were able to achieve the variety of different looks we were after. From formal poses suitable for the LinkedIn profile to the more casual photos for email and newsletters. I call it the "perfect" business portrait session because we were both well prepared, fast and efficient and we achieved exactly what we set out to.

LinkedIn Profile Photo Portrait Session - Chatswood

Image
On LinkedIn and other business networking venues, your profile photo is  your first point of contact with the world .  Whether you are promoting your business, looking for work, selling products or networking with colleagues, a photo of you knocking back a beer at a party is not going to cut it. For this profile photo session, we were in the heart of the busy north shore business district, Chatswood. We found buildings, walls, plants and trees enough to do several different looking shots which will suffice for all of the different types of social networking sites that the lovely Amanda required. At one stage we were approached by security and questioned thoroughly about why we were shooting and to be certain that no signage was included. At first we were a little put out but after a bit, we decided that the guy was playing around with us...ha ha! It was a really windy day so had I used the pop-up reflectors I had brought, I may have ended up in Fiji. Instead, I used my spe
